These Terms & Conditions govern the supply of fire safety products and services by Surtur Fire Ltd (Company Registration No. 14030343, VAT No. 410913924), registered at 22-24 Harborough Road, Northampton, NN2 7AZ. By requesting a quotation or placing an order with us, you agree to these terms.
We provide the supply, design, installation, and maintenance of fire suppression, fire detection, fire extinguisher, and emergency lighting systems. The specific scope of work will be set out in your quotation.
Quotations are valid for 30 days unless otherwise stated. Prices exclude VAT unless expressly stated. Work outside the agreed scope may be subject to additional charges, which we will confirm with you in advance.
Payment terms will be specified in your invoice. Unless otherwise agreed, invoices are due within 30 days. We reserve the right to charge interest on overdue accounts in accordance with the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.
All work is carried out to the relevant British Standards and our certification scheme requirements (including BAFE and FIA). Installations carry a warranty as stated in your contract. Warranties do not cover damage caused by misuse, tampering, or failure to maintain systems as recommended.
Fire safety systems require regular servicing to remain compliant and effective. The responsible person (as defined by the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005) is responsible for ensuring ongoing maintenance is carried out.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Subject to that, our total liability for any claim is limited to the value of the contract under which the claim arises.
Cancellation of confirmed work may incur charges for materials ordered and labour already committed. We will set out any such charges before they apply.
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
